Lip Forensics is an electronic duo from Athens Greece. Created in early 2018 by two long time members of the Athenian alternative music scene (Ekelon
and Zade) the duo has set out to explore the vast spectrum of electronic music.
Zade’s background in indie rock and punk bands clashes perfectly with Ekelon’s advanced knowledge of electronics, creating a unique mix of strong grooves with a distinct sense of melody. The duo likes to navigate the uncharted waters between indie rock and electronic music in an attempt to
bridge all facets of the underground music of the last two decades.
The bands debut was met with enthusiasm in the Athenian scene, leading them to appear in prestigious events such as Release festival, Sonar Athens
and many festivals around the country. Their live show quickly became anattraction and as of 2020 they upgraded their stage presence with illuminating
suits and a custom made light show (see photos).
In 2019 the duo released its debut EP called “Cheiloscopy”. Containing two original tracks coupled with remixes by Serafim Tsotsonis and Melorman, it
was released by Amour Records on a limited edition run of white 12-inch vinyl. They have also provided remixes for bands in their local scene such as
Someone Who Isn’t Me, Melorman, Last Chance, The Zero Won and Cayetano.
The duo is currently working on new tracks for a 2020 release, while at the same time perfecting their stage show through selected live appearances.
