KALLI was raised between New York and Athens,Greece.
Growing up with Beatles and Musical theater soundtracks, Fleetwood Mac and Amy Winehouse, KALLI began singing at 15 and experimented with different genres over the years. Inspired by the pop and soul music,that helped her discover the characteristic melismatic sound of her voice. It was her close friends, and now band mates who first believed she was ready to make music. Just one listen and that’s all it takes to get hooked.
In 2018 her debut EP was released independently, titled “Journeygirl” that helped her create a small but devoted fan base. Even though the sound refers to a 70’s rock vibe, KALLI manages to stand out with her unique and soulful vocals. Her first showcase was at Pepper Fm’s International Women’s Day annual event and she has also performed in several local venues of Athens.
Always ready to explore new ideas, already working on new material, this time she’s more into fine tuning her sound aesthetic, this time, alongside her producer Vasilis Nissopoulos.
Sooner rather than later, there are fresh tracks to be released.
