Katrame is a musical trio from Athens, Greece. Their sound is based on a unique mixture of sturdy basslines and electronic beats combined with dark melodies, aiming to create emotional soundscapes and images, disregarding norms and musical genres. Their debut album “Sose” was released on Amour Records | EMI in the 30^th of January 2020.

Katrame is (mainly) an electronic project originally created by Michalis and Nassos during 2017. It started as an electronic bedroom project of two people jamming for hours on top of infinite loops of beats and sounds created and recorded mostly on the spot. In 2018, during the recordings of their first album “Sose”, Nikos came along  contributing a more electric and analogue feel to the band’s sound.

The sounds of “Sose” (a Greek word for “Save” or “Save us”) strongly reveal a variety in the band’s influences. Their love for atmospheric music accompanied by a low-key sentiment sets the mood for the band’s first album. It’s sonic destinations reference musical elements of the dark wave, electronica and alternative scene of the 80’s and 90’s, all delivered through Katrame’s aesthetic prism.
